Moore Packaging in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, installed a MarquipWardUnited Saber Knife from BW Papersystems in the first week of January. In the first two months since the installation, Moore Packaging says it has already seen significant operational improvements.

“Downtime is significantly reduced for all reasons, including jams and electricals,” said John Kent, Corrugator Technical Advisor. “Maintenance is far improved and easier to look after.”

Corrugator Superintendent, Rob Cochrane added, “The Knife is running trouble free.”

The Saber Knife was installed on a 2.5m (98″) corrugator with additional MarquipWardUnited components from BW Papersystems. It provides good cut length vs speed capability while maintaining low power consumption levels. This high-performance knife has cut capability up to 450m per min (1500 ft per min) with excellent cut accuracy.

With the acquisition of the ServoPro we have notably reduced the set up time and also increased the productivity of the machine both in quality and quantity.
