Following significant investment over the last 18 months at its ‘Center of Excellence’ site in Hamburg and to cater for the growing demand from converters in EMEA, BW Papersystems has confirmed that it recently completed the build and testing of the first ever ServoPro rotary die-cutter to be undertaken in Europe.

The machine – which was ordered by Al Medan in Saudi Arabia – is now in the process of being shipped to the customer’s site. BW Papersystems says that the main features of this machine are its high productivity, ease of use and low TCO.

“We are proud of this landmark, building not just the first ServoPro in Europe, but also that the machine has been built in Metric format, specifically for the EMEA markets,” explains Marco Angeli, Sales Lead, BW Papersystems. “For the customers, it is important to know that the technical service function as well as all spare parts are coming from Europe, for rapid reaction times. Thanks to an extensive stock of spares at both our Frankfurt and our Hamburg locations means we can react quickly, helping ensure maximum uptime. We are proud to be able to ship this first ServoPro that has been made in Germany to our great partner customer, Al Medan. The machine will be installed in the coming weeks and we are looking forward to a smooth start-up phase with the team at Al Medan.”
With the acquisition of the ServoPro we have notably reduced the set up time and also increased the productivity of the machine both in quality and quantity.
