Description of Improvement

This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP); it will replace all of the Posmo Drives with Sinamics

Drives.

Currently there are fifteen (15) Posmo drives in the machine consisting of fourteen (14) 25-9000704 and one (1) 25-9000854. The Posmo drives are now obsolete. The replacement will consist of 12 servo motors that are 1.7KW without brake and 3 servo motors that are 1.7KW with brake.

In addition, the end seal compression motor will be replaced with a new SEW gear motor. The end-seal motor will be controlled from the Simotion as a variable speed application. In order for this upgrade to work properly, Simotion P350 must be converted to Simotion D445-1.

Existing HMI will be utilized. The new Siemens servo motors will have the exact same mounting patterns as the Posmo drives. One of the existing enclosure doors will be replaced with a new one that will now have an airconditioned mounted on.
