TIP 160-0415 Line Drive Coupling

This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP); it replaces the 3-line drive gear couplings with solid couplings. The solid coupling has a higher misalignment capacity compared to gear couplings. It provides superior damping and isolation of shock and vibratory loads. This eliminates fretting corrosion and results in a dramatic reduction of stress fractures at the bolt hole locations, a common problem with conventional steel disc couplings. These couplings also have excellent chemical and moisture resistance in hostile environments, conditions which are too difficult or impossible for steel disc and elastomeric couplings.

This means the position of the lid to case chains is extremely stable and greatly assists operator setting of format and greatly enhances product quality.
