Description of Improvement

This improvement replaces the obsolete DC main drive from Siemens with a modern AC main drive system and AC motor. A new electrical cabinet, completely pre-assembled with all necessary drive components, is part of the upgrade.

Whereas the old DC main motor requires regular maintenance and contains wear parts that need replacing, the new AC main motor ensures virtually maintenance-free operation. Eliminating the obsolete DC main drive and motor increases the machine’s reliability.

The AC main drive upgrade is ideal where the motor is worn out and needs to be replaced.

TIP C 1302 A: The obsolete DC main drive from Siemens will be replaced by a Siemens AC main drive system and AC motor.

TIP C 1302 B: The obsolete DC main drive from Siemens will be replaced by a Allen Bradley AC main drive system and AC motor.
