Description of Improvement
Production of the AMK AN-AZ-AW drive series, Siemens Masterdrives and Lenze 9300 drives have been discontinued and only a marginal number of new spare parts remain available. Factory refurbished spares or repaired parts may still be available, however at a high price, and often only in exchange for the old components.
This upgrade replaces the old components (AMK, Lenze or Siemens) related to the main drive and knife drive with Siemens Sinamics components. Exchanging these obsolete parts greatly improves machine availability as it reduces the risk of unplanned downtime.
New motors are also included in this TIP module.
