TIP C 4025 Replacement of ASi monitor

Working with the sheeter’s existing Siemens AS-i safety monitors is troublesome and time consuming, as their displays only show flashing diodes whose codes each time need to be interpreted according to a manual. 

At the main sheeter, this TIP module replaces the existing Siemens AS-i monitors and connected AS-i gateway with a state-of-the-art combined AS-i monitor and gateway system. In addition, the emergency stop for safety doors is exchanged in the electrical cabinet.

At the unwind stands, the existing AS-i gateway and its connected AS-i safety monitors for two reels are replaced by an AS-i master with an integrated AS-i monitor for each reel. The number of master units with integrated monitor depends on the number of reels (one monitor per reel).

The new AS-i monitor is trouble-free and includes a menu-driven display for a fast and easy fault diagnosis, greatly reducing maintenance effort and cost.

Subject to prior technical check, a step-by-step replacement of AS-i monitors might be possible.
