TIP F 4040B Replacement of obsolete Microbox IPC (automation functions) with Siemens S7 TIA
Machine Model for Improvement
All Jagenberg folio sheeters with Siemens Microbox IPC controlling automation functions only
Description of Improvement
This upgrade is part of our Technical Improvement Program (TIP) and replaces the existing obsolete Siemens Microbox IPC controlling automation functions only.
Drive control functions are not included in this TIP and will remain as they are.
The existing Siemens Microbox computer controlling the automation system only is obsolete and will be replaced by the new Siemens PLC S7 TIA Portal control system.
All previous functions will be transferred into the new Siemens S7 TIA Portal PLC, e.g., counting, splice detection, rejection, suction slide control, cut-off length measurement, web tension and overlapping gap position control.
