Description of Improvement

This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP); the original slitter dovetail is replaced with a linear bearing guide rail. The new guided rail uses original mounting holes in the slitter frame. Each head gets a linear bearing truck and bracket mounted to the back of the head. The original slitting angles are maintained with this upgrade. The new system allows the slit head to move smoothly to the new position and minimizes force exerted by the operator.

Couple this TIP with an air shaft for the lower anvils for the best setup times with a manual slitter.

Note: Machine must currently have Tidland Slitters
